Fudge doughnut

Fudge doughnuts are a delicacy in parts of Scotland and England. They are made in chocolate and caramel frosted varieties and have white cream inside. They also come with a custard filling variety.

They are made by Fisher and Donaldson in Cupar[1] and other Scottish bakeries. They are also served at Weinholt's on Northgate Street in Chester, England.[2]

According to the Dictionary of Biological Psychology, fudge doughnuts are a potent reinforcer that loses its standard measure of influence as additional portions are consumed (so that the fourth or fifth does not have the original influence).[3]

In North East Fife, Fudge Doughnuts are referred to as 'Fudge Scunners'.
